    2 Party Case: $200.00 Per Party Per Hour
    3 Party Case: $150.00 Per Party Per Hour

    Fees are the same for any additional time spent on document review, research, written findings of fact/law and other outside time, if any, necessary to prepare or make an informed award or evaluation.

    MINIMUM TIME:
    A 3-Hour Minimum will be charged in All Cases

    TRAVEL TIME:
    For travel time charges for mediations & arbitrations held at locations other than at BAY’s offices in Atlanta, please contact BAY.

    ALL CHARGES WILL BE SHARED EQUALLY AMONG ALL PARTIES, UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED IN WRITING. RATES MAY BE ADJUSTED FOR SPECIAL SITUATIONS. THE FEE IS TO BE AGREED UPON IN ADVANCE.

    OUR CONTRACT FOR SERVICES IS WITH THE ATTORNEY(S). WE EXTEND CREDIT, WITH NO ADVANCE DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT, BASED ON THE ATTORNEY’S CREDIT. THE ATTORNEY, IN TURN, COLLECTS FROM HIS/HER CLIENT. THEREFORE, WE EXPECT PAYMENT FROM THE ATTORNEY(S) REGARDLESS OF CLIENT ACTIVITY. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL ON EVERY ARBITRATION PRIOR TO THE AWARD BEING PUBLISHED.

    *** A FINANCE CHARGE OF 1.50% PER MONTH (18% PER YEAR) WILL BE CHARGED ON BALANCES DUE OVER 45 DAYS.

    CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE POLICY:
    If a Mediation or Arbitration is postponed, rescheduled or canceled for any reason WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF THE HEARING, the Responsible Party(s) will be charged a THREE-HOUR MINIMUM at the FULL hourly rate for all parties in the entire case, as stated on BAY Mediation & Arbitration Services, LLC Fee Structure Sheet, included with the Confirmation Letter when the Mediation or Arbitration was scheduled. If any Party has any questions about this Policy, please call Janné directly.

Bio

Janné McKamey is a former Magistrate in Cobb County, GA and is well versed in managing litigation in a fair, unbiased manner. In her private practice, Ms. McKamey handled civil litigation matters including employment, domestic relations, business disputes, real estate, and mediation. She was also previously a court appointed attorney for Gwinnett County Juvenile Court.  Judge McKamey is currently employed with May Jung LLP after more than 30 years of litigation work in private practice and government service.

Prior positions include managing the Arbitration and Garnishment Departments and serving as managing attorney for the Marietta branch of Hollander Law offices, and longtime contract attorney for Gerald E. Moore & Associates, PC.

Judge McKamey received her Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University of Law, and she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Tennessee. Most recently, she received certification from the National Computer Forensics Institute run by the United States Secret Service in the field of Digital Evidence and is a certified mediator in Georgia and Tennessee and a certified arbitrator in Georgia.

She is an avid volunteer and very active in her community.  She volunteers with her church, domestic violence taskforces, several bar associations, her local Chapter of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association, Dragon Con and other multimedia conventions, as well as offering pro bono and reduced fee legal work to clients in need.

Judge McKamey is proud to be transitioning from “the People’s Court” to being “the People’s Mediator” and is looking forward to virtually assisting individuals on nights and weekends, when other mediators are normally unavailable.
