    2 Party Case: $300.00 Per Party Per Hour
    3 Party Case: $275.00 Per Party Per Hour
    4 Party Case: $250.00 Per Party Per Hour

    Fees are the same for any additional time spent on document review, research, written findings of fact/law and other outside time, if any, necessary to prepare or make an informed award or evaluation.

    TRAVEL TIME:
    For travel time charges for mediations held at locations other than at BAY’s offices in Atlanta, please contact BAY.

    ALL CHARGES WILL BE SHARED EQUALLY AMONG ALL PARTIES, UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED IN WRITING. RATES MAY BE ADJUSTED FOR SPECIAL SITUATIONS. THE FEE IS TO BE AGREED UPON IN ADVANCE.

    OUR CONTRACT FOR SERVICES IS WITH THE ATTORNEY(S). WE EXTEND CREDIT, WITH NO ADVANCE DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT, BASED ON THE ATTORNEY’S CREDIT. THE ATTORNEY, IN TURN, COLLECTS FROM HIS/HER CLIENT. THEREFORE, WE EXPECT PAYMENT FROM THE ATTORNEY(S) REGARDLESS OF CLIENT ACTIVITY.

    *** A FINANCE CHARGE OF 1.50% PER MONTH (18% PER YEAR) WILL BE CHARGED ON BALANCES DUE OVER 45 DAYS.

Dave Root has been a civil trial lawyer for 40 years.  He is a magna cum laude graduate of Wake Forest University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  He graduated from Wake Forest’s law school near the top of his class, focusing on moot court and mock trial.

Dave has spent his legal career at Copeland, Stair, Kingma & Lovell LLP, twice serving as its managing partner.  He has tried more than 125 civil cases, covering a wide array of subject areas, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation only organization of preeminent trial lawyers limited to 1% of the lawyers in each state.  He is a registered neutral with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution.

Dave is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell[1], and has written and spoken on variety of legal topics.  Since 2008, Dave has been included in the Georgia Super Lawyers® list.
