    Fees are the same for any additional time spent on document review, research, written findings of fact/law and other outside time, if any, necessary to prepare or make an informed award or evaluation.

    TRAVEL TIME:
    For travel time charges for mediations & arbitrations held at locations other than at BAY’s offices in Atlanta, please contact BAY.

    ALL CHARGES WILL BE SHARED EQUALLY AMONG ALL PARTIES, UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED IN WRITING. RATES MAY BE ADJUSTED FOR SPECIAL SITUATIONS. THE FEE IS TO BE AGREED UPON IN ADVANCE.

    OUR CONTRACT FOR SERVICES IS WITH THE ATTORNEY(S). WE EXTEND CREDIT, WITH NO ADVANCE DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT, BASED ON THE ATTORNEY’S CREDIT. THE ATTORNEY, IN TURN, COLLECTS FROM HIS/HER CLIENT. THEREFORE, WE EXPECT PAYMENT FROM THE ATTORNEY(S) REGARDLESS OF CLIENT ACTIVITY. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL ON EVERY ARBITRATION PRIOR TO THE AWARD BEING PUBLISHED.

    *** A FINANCE CHARGE OF 1.50% PER MONTH (18% PER YEAR) WILL BE CHARGED ON BALANCES DUE OVER 45 DAYS.

Sam Woodhouse is an experienced trial attorney, having tried jury trials and non-jury trials to verdict in federal and state courts, as well as commercial arbitrations. Sam supplemented his actual courtroom experience with intensive classroom trial advocacy training at Temple Law School’s nationally recognized LL.M. in Trial Advocacy Program. This culminated in Sam earning an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he graduated with Honors.

Prior to establishing The Woodhouse Law Firm, LLC in 2007, Sam was a Shareholder and the Managing Partner of the Atlanta office of Cozen O’Connor, a full service global law firm with over 550 attorneys in 25 offices.

Sam is a Registered Neutral Civil Mediator in Georgia with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution. He is also a Registered Arbitrator in Georgia with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution.

Sam is a former member of: 1) the Board of Directors of Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center, 2) a former member of the Ethics Commission of the Atlanta Board of Education, 3) a former member of the Alcohol Board of the City of Brookhaven, 4) a former member of the Board of Directors of the GABWA Foundation, and 5) a former member of the Board of Directors of the Gate City Bar Association.

In 2016 Sam received the A.T. Walden Outstanding Lawyer’s Award from the Gate City Bar Association. In 2018 Sam received the Commitment to Equality Award from the Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession of the State Bar of Georgia. On April 12, 2018 Sam received the GABWA Professional Development Academy Visionary Award.

Sam has vast experience with the state and federal courts and Judges. In light of this vast experience he regularly serves as local counsel for lawyers who are not located in Georgia. Also, Sam has served as a Special Master for Judges on the Superior Court of Fulton and DeKalb counties.
