BAY Mediation & Arbitration Services has added three experienced attorneys to its panel of neutrals. Senior Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter, trial attorney Michael R. Braun, and litigator Raymond J. Kurey bring the total number of mediators and arbitrators available at BAY to twenty-eight.

 

Judge Jerry W. Baxter has had a distinguished 42-year career with the Fulton County Courts, serving as an assistant solicitor general, assistant district attorney, state court judge, and superior court judge. As a trial lawyer, he tried more than 100 jury trials. As a trial judge over the last 31 years, he has presided over hundreds of civil jury trials, including numerous complex personal injury, products liability, and medical malpractice cases. He is known for his efficiency and common sense approach to resolving disputes.

 

Michael R. Braun is a civil trial attorney with 23 years of experience & more than 100 jury trials to his credit.  He has tried cases in State & Federal Courts from Dougherty County to Whitfield County, focusing primarily on matters involving personal injury, including wrongful death, tractor‑trailer, & premises liability cases. Michael is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia, U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, & the United States Supreme Court, and is a certified Civil Trial Lawyer through the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has also been awarded an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review rating by Martindale-Hubbell, & has been on the list of Super Lawyers® from 2013 – 2017.

 

Raymond J. Kurey is a founding partner of McMickle, Kurey & Branch LLP. He has represented plaintiffs & defendants in personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, construction defect, business contract disputes, insurance and insurance coverage cases for more than 25 years. Ray is well respected in the litigation community, as is reflected in his AV®Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. His extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants gives him the ideal perspective to serve as a mediator.
